Advanced Members Woodcutting
I have been investigating the areas around P2P worlds recently and have come up with a list of some of the best places to woodcut; not only magic trees, but also yews and a healthy mixture.
Including a short analysis on why i think each location is the best. I hope this suits all of your P2P Woodcutting Locations needs!
Gnome Stronghold
By Far the best place to Woodcut. The bank is very close, and there are 3 yew trees and 1 magic tree withing 4-8 seconds of it. (1 more magic/yew tree if you plant one in the tree patch). In a themed world, normally a mini-game world, there is hardly anyone there – especially on the yews. In addition to these 4 trees, there are another 4 slightly east. Another magic tree and 3 yews. There are slightly further away from the bank (Behind the agility course), and there is normally 1 or no people there at all!
This is the ideal location for me. It is easily accessed if you have the correct quests. By Gnome glider, Spirit tree or an Ardougne teleport.
Camelot
This is slightly more popular. The convenience of 3 magic tree *Reasonably* close by to the bank attracts several high levels at a time. Also, the 3 yews in the church yard. Several people find the yews south of the flax fields to be best, however i think due to the proximity to the bank and the rare high level there the church yard is best. For this area, i found doing maybe 1-3 inventories of magic logs, then changing to the same amount of yews to be rather less boring. Especially with some of the people you can talk to!
Individual Yews
If your just looking for some places to Cut yews, the classic F2P places are always an option sometimes quiet in P2P worlds. However, again, i think that the 6 yews around the Gnome strong hold are the best option. Often if you get the timings right, when you finish cutting the third tree by the bank, the first one you chopped is back again! So need to move!
Individual Magics
Now, this is a tricky one. As i haven’t mentioned yet – even with a high 90’s woodcutting level, magics are depressingly slow. Ideally you want a populated place (But not too populated) so you have people to talk to/A good clan chat.
Camelot is good, however i think that the Mage training arena is better. There is often 2-4 people there, all normally chatty. However, if you want not too many people i’d just dive into either the Gnome Stronghold or Camelot.
I hope i’ve helped you. I know i could have just written “Cut at Camelot Or the Gnome Stronghold” for this post, but i thought i ought to tell you why. And i believe and agree that these two places are the best. If i had to choose one – it would be the Gnome Stronghold.
