| Potato Picking Guide
Hey RSA, it's me here. I sent this guide to The RSMG team to see if they could put it up. (thersmg.com-best moneymaking guides ever) I haven't had a reply it so I don't think it got accepted or whatever. :P Anyway, I can't help but share this with you. It's a really good way to make your first 100k at level 3. That 100k is your first step to making millions. :) Please check thersmg.com btw. Amazing RS moneymaking site. You'd be surprised. Potato Picking Guide DISCLAIMER: There's a chance that once too many people know about this, there will be a surplus of potatoes and less demand plus less profit. Who would've thought that something so weird and so nooby could make so much money? Picking potatoes? Are you kidding? Well, let's look at it this way. Potatoes are 80-105gp EACH! A potato just about costs as much as an iron ore, a regular bone, a pizza base, and lots of other items! Thing is, it's easier to obtain and has no requirements! Wait a minute, you say, who would buy potatoes? The price wouldn't be any good if nobody buys it anyway, right? Well, members buy potatoes to make high healing food. So once you place a sell order in GE, it usually won't fill up immediately, but you won't have to wait long. Since there are no requirements, picking potatoes are ideal for low-level players making their first 100-200k. Pros • Absolutely no requirements • Not a lot of people know this technique yet • Potatoes are in demand for P2P chefs Cons • May get boring over time • Once too many people know, this technique gets less effective • People who pass by will call you N00b (Well, it doesn't matter 'cuz you know you're makin' K's!) • No EXP in any skill (Meh, lol) The recommended potato field is the one east of the large wheat field in Draynor Village.  It is suggested you pick the potatoes in a west-to-east pattern, so that you stay as close to the gate as possible. Just pick potatoes within the first two/three rows, as the potatoes respawn fast enough.  Once you have a full pack of potatoes, run back to Draynor Village and bank. Note that near the Jail there is a Musician where you can restore your Run Energy.  Now let's look at the money we're makin': 112 Potatoes (four trips) x 100= 11,200gp You just earned more than 10k in less than ten minutes! 500 Potatoes (around 18 trips) x 100= 50,000gp 1000 Potatoes (around 36 trips) x 100= 100,000gp That's A LOT of money just picking potatoes! The cool thing is, picking 28 potatoes takes much less time than mining 28 Clay with 1-31 Mining, collecting 28 Bones from chickens, mining 28 Iron Ores with 15-41 Mining, mining 14 Coal with 30-?? Mining, collecting 500-600 Feathers, collecting 28 Cowhides, etc, meaning it's a REALLY effective way to make cash. Happy Potato Picking!

Great Guide! I'm very impressed! This is an excellent way for new players to RS to make a good bit of start up money. I'm sure this Guide will help thoasands!

OMG! The best money making guide I've ever read. I hope this technique don't get leaked to many players. Wait... I think becoz you posted this guide... The potato price dropped dramatically...

Sadly, this can only do around 60k an hour now. Not worth it. :( The technique really got popular. Potatoes are now only 60gp each! Dang! Well I hope the people who read my guide and made the profit (until it dropped) found it useful. :P Thanks for the comments all. :D

If you're members: Use Sacks (Woven) Not sure if it's for F2P either. - Buy 18 sacks, keep it in inventory unnoted: The other 10 empty invents to collect Potatoes. - Click sacks to "Fill" it up with `tatoes. 10 max per sack. So let see: 18 x 10= 180 x 100= 18k per trip. 6 trips to make 108k OR Sell the sacks of potatoes at 1100 gp each: 18 x 1100 = 19800 (about 1.8k more profit) So about 6 trips to make 118.8k (about 10k more profit per 6 trips) BooYah
