Barbarian Assault Minigame Guide (P2P)

Barbarian Assault is now probably my favourite mini-game on RuneScape. Closely followed by CastleWars. Any one can enjoy playing it, no matter what level you are. although if you are a low level you might find it hard to get a team.
It's a great minigame to play with a group or alone.

NOTE: Barbarian Assault is a SAFE mini game, if you die your team will lose and be teleported to the lobby.


World: 6, their are other worlds but no one ever uses them.


Required Quests: None (Yay!!)

Required Items: Your best Combat gear. (Do not substitute defense for a prayer bonuse. This will be explained later.) Bring only what you need to wear, nothing else is allowed in the arena. (no runes arrows etc. weapons are fine.)

Skilles Needed: None, Although high, Mage, Range Or Combat is reccommended.

Risk Level: NONE this minigame is SAFE to play.


Location: Barbarian Assault is Located NORTH of Baxtorian falls and EAST of The Grand Tree

Note that their are no banks convienently located in or around the barbarian outpost.

Getting There

You have Two Options when Heading off to Barbarian Assault. The first I reccomend the most.

1. Buy a GAMES necklace from either another player or the G.E. You can then RUB it and select Barbarian Outpost. You will be teleported somewhere outside the building.

2. You can Walk/Run from whever you are.

Getting Started

To get started we have to have a nice little chat with Captain Cain. Right click on him and select tutorial.
It is a long tutorial with 10 Aspects to it and you must complete it to play the game. Reading it all is not reccommended, if you really get stuck, come back to it later.
If skip through it all it can be done in 5-10 minutes. Reading it will take longer. Once the previously mentioned tutorial is complete head down the ladder into The lobbys.

You will start on level one. Walk down the corridor Until you find it. (I'm Still trying to get a screeny for this one sorry)

Joining A Team

When Getting a team on Barbarian Assault you have two options;

1. Make A Team
2. Join one

When Your starting off i reccommend joing a team. The best role to start with is probably COLLECTOR or if you have a high Combat then maybe ATTACKER nonetheless these are the easiest roles.

Choose your role and start to say either:

Coll here (if you wish to be a collector)
Def here (if you wish to be a Defender)
Attk here (if you wish to be an attacker)
Heal here (if you wish to be a healer)

By far healers are the hardest to find especially in later levels.

Eventually a screen will pop up. It will look like this (Need a screen shot, will get one soon!)

The Battlefield!

This WIll Be Explained More When I Get Screen Shots, Sorry.

You Start Near A Large Cave, Ignore it this isn't important for now. If your Anyhting other then a collector head over to the vending machines and saelect take all. They Look Like This: (Screeen SHot Will Be Here)

There are two Egg Launchers at the east and west sides of the field these look like this: (again still trying to get a screen shot )


Will finish this guide When i manage to get screenys of Barbarian Assault. In the mean time first impressions are good please. =)

Epic game, very fun and hard, and pretty good rewards. I'm there right now to get fighting toroso, which is going to take a while, but I find it an enjoyable get-away from training skills for WGS and Rocking Out.

Btw, If you need help on a section you can ask me, I've had past experiences with making guides.
