They never taught us in school.

I started learning HTML myself when I was about 11-12.

At my school, it starts in 6th grade.

But I go to a private school, so the curriculum is slightly different.

It's not that hard to learn, go to W3Schools Online Web Tutorials for free tutorials.

They don't teach us.. I'm in a Computer Applications 2 class, and I'm teaching our teacher! Our curriculum around computers suck.

Actually when I first learned HTML it was purely from looking at already created pages. I think I was 12 or 13. I learned images, basic text, a little bit of changing text color, backround color, simple stuff. http://cindex.webhop.net/runescape/ made that out of HTML/PHP.

I don't have a clue.
I too would also like to learn HTML in school, that's why I am trying to get computer lessons.
I want to get a job in IT when I get older.
But, sorry I cannot answer your question. I know, I am in the same shoes as you.
