New to runescape? start with a pure

If you are new to runescape the best thing to do for combat is to make a pure.
What is a pure you ask.

A pure is a character with a lower combat level with a higher level in one skill. eg.) combat level 20 with mage level 40

That goal of a pure is usually to PK (player kill) other characters the get their weapons, armor, etc.
If you are a level 20 usually your hitpoints are around their id say probably 25-30 at best, now if you are PKing other level 20's in the wilderness and your hitting 10's and 12's its not going to be very hard to take them out.
That is why for your first character I would advise making a pure strength. Making a pure mage would be better in my opinion but runes get expensive and when you don't have a higher level to feed you the cash its almost impossible to do it right.

PKing is a great way to make money for lower levels and its also fun. So If your trying to decide what skills to raise go for a pure.

**Note... Prayer DOES affect combat level so for the best results in making a pure, do NOT bury any bones, as that will raise your combat level, therefore making you fight other players that are one level higher and may be more difficult to kill**
