you can skill or merchant on the ge. i merchant clay by buying it then changing it to soft clay and sell it for more money.
btw, the poll doesnt make sense.

What does the poll mean???? Nd like innovationz said, you can skill or merchant. I prefer to skill though

i sell swordies at ge 9k an inventory

kill cows and bank their hides, then sell them in GE for 100 or ea (merchanting is a great way too)

Making money means using your skills to supply other peoples needs

Take a high demand items, EG, yews, cut some (or get your lvl up #1) 100 yews is something like 90k

Not too bad? you can make more, the better you get at a skill, just train!

Make Money by Doing Skillz or get drops.. ! lots of ways Grand Exchange buy stuff cheap and sell em off max or mid..

there are many ways to make money some of them are:
Woodcutting (lvl 60+ to cut yew logs [willows will do 40+])
merchanting (this requires you to start with a bit of money then work your way up to the rarer items)
Eye of Newt (this is probably the easiest way to make money. buy em for 3gp ea and sell em at GE for about 70gp ea)
Pking (this does require you to be able to kill people wearing full rune or addy armour)
Mining/smithing (get your mining up so that you can mine coal and mine coal and iron and smith them into steel bars and then sell them)
