| Mining guide! Mini version, I'll have full out later This guide is only to be used on Runescape Addicts! If I find this guide anywhere else, I will take legal action! (I've done it before and I will again if I have to.) Chapter 1. Starting to mine
So, you've became interested in mining huh? It's a very good skill to make money out of but I wouldn't advise you start selling until your level 30. At level 30 comes coal, which people need constantly, this guide shall walk you through from lv. 1 to 85. Chapter 2. The Basics
First thing you need, is a pickaxe, (kinda obvious, really) second is a lot of running power if you want to do quick trips between the bank and your mining spot. That's pretty much it for the stuff you need. Now, to find a good place to mine. Chapter 3. Lets get mining! Level 1 - 15 If your a F2P, try the rimmington mines to mine copper and tin. To bank, go to the falador east bank. The rimmington mines have 2 clay, 2 tin, 5 copper, 6 iron and 2 gold If you are P2P, Try the taverly mines, their a fair distance from the Falador west bank if you have agility level 5 to go over the crumbled wall. Or else you'll have to walk all the way around. The Taverly mines have, 2 copper, 6 tin, 3 iron and 2 coal. Levels 15 - 30
Congrats! You can now mine iron, iron generally sells for 100 - 150 each. You'll have some competition at these levels, so try going to the world where there is little people and mine there. If you are F2P, the southeast Varrock mine is a good place to mine iron and copper, you just might have some higher level competition. Keep mining copper and tin until you can one hit the iron, or just find a world with little people and mine iron. The southeast Varrock mine has, 6 tin, 9 copper, 4 iron If you are P2P, the Khazard mines are for you, it provides a nearby bank in Yanille and isn't crowded often. This is the place to mine iron. The Khazard mines have, 4 clay, 7 tin, 4 copper, 9 iron, 1 coal, 3 mithril. Levels 30 - 60
Wow! Your making progress! Now you can mine coal, which is what every smither needs for mid and high level smithing. Coal generally sells for 150 - 200 each. If you are F2P, you should start mining at the dwarven mines beneath ice mountain for iron or coal, there's a fair amount of coal and iron, and a very good supply of copper and tin. The closest bank is east Falador. The dwarven mines have 3 clay, 10 tin, 11 copper, 9 iron, 11 coal, (not including the mining guild) 2 gold, 2 mithril, 3 addy. If you are P2P, The coal trucks are great for you! they provide lotsa coal, isn't to crowded, and to bank it, all you have to do is put the coal into the truck and keep on mining! Pick up the coal from the depot behind Seers village. It is advised to have 20 agility to cross the log bridge, or else you'll need to walk all the way around to Seers. The coal trucks mine has 18 coal. Levels 60 - 85
Now you can go guild mining! Congratulations! If you want money, try guild mining, if you want to level up, powermine iron (you should be able to one hit it now) For P2P and F2P, guild mining is the best for both members and free, why? Because it's so close to the bank and has a massive load of coal and some Mithril. The mining guild has 37 coal and 5 Mithril. Runite mining
Once you are level 85, you are one of the top miners of runescape, and are able to mine runite, now, you can either mine Adamantite, Mithril or coal for leveling. But for a very big load of money, mine runite in these three places, the heros guild (P2P), Lava maze (F2P and P2P) and the KBD's lair (P2P) Note: the last two choices of mining runite ore are in level 40 wilderness and up, so be very careful of Pkers.
Some Misc. info, my friend tells me to add this, I dunno if it's true though, he says powermining copper and tin is a good way. But I prefer iron. Chapter 4. Conclusion
Well, that's the end of this guide, I'll be making a add-on to this one tommorow, and be featuring the pickaxes and rocks. I hope this was a help to you, and that the information shall not be violating copyright. Thanks!
P.S. Give me some CC for the next guide. This is a mini guide, I'll have a full version out when I'm done composing it. |
