Fast thieving exp?

I'm level 37 thieving at the moment. I need to get to level 53--preferably fast.

Money doesn't matter

Does any of you know a good spot to train at my level? (best exp/hour)

Update: with some work, and "The Feud" quest, I'm now level 42, nearing 43!

go to ardouge and steal the silk... it is good xp and fast cash lol

Heres two things i did for some thievin xp:

1. the southern stall in ardougne market is a fur stall. Steal grey wolf fur from there and bank it in the bank just to the south. continue stealing and banking till you have hundreds. now teleport to varrock and sell to Barek the fur stall owner by the fountain in the centre. he usually sells bear fur but when he sees that you have grey wolf fur he will buy each piece for 120gp each.
(tip: you can open the door to the building just south of the stall, when the fur trader walks in, just walk out ands close the door so he'll get trapped in.)

2. at lvl 40 thieving you can pickpocket the lvl 21 guards that hang out in varrock & fally. i would recommend going to fally, banking all your items including armour, weaponry & whatever you have in the inventory. make sure you have done recruitment drive quest with gaze of sara on, so if you die you respawn in fally instead of lumby. then just pickpocket the guards, when you get caught they will damage you, but don't eat food just let your hp go down. the max damage they do is 2 if you get caught. so when you have 2hp left, drop your cash and stel so if you get caught you will die. you respawn by the white knights so just run across the bridge back to centre of fally where you died and pick up your cash. you will have full hp so continue stealing... :D
(tip: this idea works well, i have 70hp and i can steal 1.5-3k depending on my luck, before i die, plus its good thievin xp too!)

heres wat i did for thieving, i stoll silk till 38 i find silk better then fur because the respawns alot faster. then once u hit 38 pp master farmers till 40. Now once you hit 40 bank all ur gear except a wepon go to ardougne go to the bake stall steal an inventory of food (minus the space for money) then attack a guard and drag him into the NE of the bakers stall, get him next to the jail cell type deal and pick pocket him till 53

Level 45 now...

Going for both ghostly robes and desert treasure, and pick-pocketing guards at the moment...

I got thieving to lvl 53 recently aswell, got all my level requirements for desert treasure out of the way, just one or two quests left to do first...

But im not in a rush, i don't want to do it yet because i have a friend who is lvl 95 (he did it at lvl 90 combat) and he said it was very hard for him. Maybe he's just not good at quests, i don't know, but i got to thinking that im not ready for it.

I have been doing a lot of quests in the past few days and found many lower levels people doing them, since a lot of members quests take you to distant and remote places, i like working together with other people because it makes it easier for both of us. Many people say that me doing quests kinda late is a good thing because i have an advantage when it comes to requirements and for fighting. Lots of quests finish with fighting a monster and i find it quite easy in quests that were designed more for beginners or intermediates.

yea i heard the only hard part is when you fight the last guy, but ive seen lvl 70's with ancient staff.. you just have to know wat youre doing

Or have to have 80+ magic, or be really rich, or just have 80+ prayer...

But yeah, the last guy drains prayer. Not that I was thinking of completing the quest yet, I just wanted the ghostly robes, and you only need the thieving level to get them.

yea the ghost rhobes were cool but when i lost memberhsip had to drop them :( btw GOOD LUCK ON THE CHEST... bring food and antis and alot of lock picks
