Comparing: Then and Now

I was reading another post on these forums, and i thought "wow, i wonder how much prices have changed since when i was a noob (2005) until now?"

So, i decided to make this list:

All the prices from 2005 come from what i remember, the current prices are from the Grand Exchange.




A couple of them really surprised me:

Diamonds shot up 16k!
Cowhides went up 150gp!
Easter egg rose 50m!!!!
Pumpkin rose 45m!!!!!
Trimmed Rune and God armors rose incredibly
Yews went up 250gp
Lobbies went up 160gp
Big Bones went up 400gp!!

For the most part rune stayed the same.

The thing that baffles me however, is how did things like God armor and trimmed armors go up so much? With more members doing more T-Trails, dont you think there would be more of those items in the world? Or is the demand just too steep?

Oh my god! Chaos runes are 85 now? I remember buying a buck load of them when they were 150.

Also, diamonds are freakin' 17k? I should have kept all my diamonds. I'd probably have half a million just from them.

Yea! It was amazing to me too when i looked at the numbers. All those old things i used to merch and trade around are worth so much (in the case of diamonds) compared to old times.

I know those gem rocks in Shilo Village quest are probably useful ;)

I forgot the percentages for the gem per fish/coal.

But at 1.2 mil coffers, 7 days (first day: 100% approval, collect day: 92/93% approval)

I got:

Max Input in coal: 2900 ish coal
Left over Input in Fishing (Raw): 1300 tuna, 500 swordfish
(Estimations only, I forgot how many)

Gems: 40-50 Sapphires, 30ish Emeralds, 10ish Rubies, 2-5 Diamonds.

*shrugs* It's not really a fast way of getting gems, but hey, you don't do anything and get them.. lol

I remeber buying My zammy 1.9 Million :)

God Armours have shot up because its the most expensive F2P armour, so it shows wealth ;)

I also remember buying a Amulet of Magic (T) for 150k (I still have that exact one! Originals ftw!)
