We are a fairly easy going forum however, like most forums, we are "plagued" with individual users who intend to post inappropriate comments, pictures and remarks on the forum. For this reason, we need to set some rules to ensure we keep this an enjoyable forum for everybody, and make it a place were our members would keep visiting and wanting to use. I. General Forum Rules
Everyone is to follow these rules, regardless if they are Mod Trainee's, Moderators or Super Moderators.
Accusation
If you have substantial proof that a member is hacking/scamming another member of the forums, please PM a forum leader with the proof. Do Not post on the forum about this kind of situation.
If this accusation is proven to be false, the Forum Leaders will take action against the accuser for wasting our time. So please make sure you are at least 90% positive that a member is hacking/scamming another member.
If this accusation is proven to be true, action will be taken against the attempted hack/scam. The punishment will be decided by the Forum Leaders.
Infraction level: 1 (3 points)
Advertising
Advertising another website or forum by making a thread/in the signature/in a post/PM is NOT allowed.
Only exception to this rule is in the Clan Forums only, where you can only post your clan forums link.
This rule also abides to posting links and referals to scam/hack sites.
Failure to follow this rule will result in a direct temporary ban for 2 days.
Infraction Level: 3 (10 points)
Bypassing firewalls
Making threads requesting/supplying information on bypassing security and firewall systems of schools or workplaces is strictly forbidden.
Infraction Level: 3 (10 points)
Discrimination
Any form of discrimination will NOT be tolerated on the forum. Members are NOT to insult a member's religious, sexual or other personal beliefs.
Bringing up religious beliefs and attempting to talk about a certain religion is the same thing as breaking this rule.
Infraction Level: 3 (8 points)
Double Posting
You can not make two posts one after another in the same thread. If you want to add something to your post, simply click the edit button.
An Expection to this rule is in the Clan Forums, where clan members/leaders can post updates of their clan.
Infraction Level: 1 (1 point)
Flaming
There is to be no flaming on any forum or thread. Flaming is also considered insulting another member which the RSAddicts Forums dislike.
Infraction Level: 2 (4 points)
Illegal Content
No member is to post any illegal content. This means that piracy, warez or any other materials that are copyrighted are not allowed. There is to be no real life trading whatsoever.

Hacks. Ehh.

I'm honestly not sure where they come from. I've never been hacked in my life and i don't understand HOW you would go about getting hacked.

I can only see a few ways:
*You type your password into a scam site. (your fault)
*You get a keylogger from some third party site or from using a public computer. (your fault)
*You tell someone. (your fault)

That's it. That's all i can see.

For the most part, it comes down to having no one to blame but yourself, imo.

Subby, if people are doing brute forces or rootkits, they're after more important things than some kid's RS account... It's unlikely that anyone would get their account stolen that way...
