Easy train on jail guards and water, fire and earth mages. Or on lessie locked up in cage in wizard's tower.

you should cast curse using a mud staff, and if you still are successful while wearing full rune or dragonhide armor, then fight a dragon wearing rune or dhide, because...lol.... the dragin is wearing dhide also
best would be against a black drag

Crumble undead is a good way to level up as well. Go to the Varrock sewers and you can mage them across the little river and they can't touch you.

You can also mage the level 25 experiments near Frenkenstein's (sp... :)) castle in Canifis. They have 100 hp and very low attack. You should be able to find plenty of rocks so they can't even hit you.

What you do is get a mud staff (it does not matter what kind of staff just make sure that it is mud). Then buy however many body runes it will take you to get your level. Go to a place with many low level creatures (like chickens) and wear the armour that gives you the wrost mage bonus. Cast curse over and over and the whole time you are getting mage xp.

Note. This does not give you hp xp so if you want a high level of health don't do this.

this is kinda addin to what sapper said i saw this at rsriches.blogspot.com i love that site to get from 20 to 96 mage it will take a mud staff 40k water runes and 20k body runes wear the best melee platearmor u wear and and cast curse i think it takes about 3-5 weeks for 96 mage with this train on the zammy mage caged under the varrock stairs if your a lower level this is all for only 480k not counting armor great job btw sapper
