| Here's a simple rule of thumb to merching with the GX; If an item sells instantly at low price, the price is dropping. And if it doesn't buy instantly at max, it's rising. Use that to determine what items to merch, at a first glance. |

| The best way to merchant before was to buy items which had a wide price range. for example you could buy big bones 300 and sell them 400. But now the secret is different. It all comes to the quantity now. if you buy 1m fire runes 9 each that would be 9mil cash. but then sell it 10 ea you get 10mil after selling all of them. That's the best way these days. I've been experimenting. It works. But don't do it with feathers, I've tried that its taking too long for me to sell 4k feathers i experimented with. or you could buy clay and jugs of water and make soft clay which sells a lot more than clay. or buy cowhides and tan them. thats all i have to say.

| Sometimes you can find odd items that have daily price fluctuations for no apparent reason -example: black platebody (g): I'm thinking could rise to 260k(ish) in a day or 2, then will drop (so 20k can be made for every plate bought = 200k made on 2.6mil investment) [dont quote me on that lol!] Or you can look for items that have a reason for a price change -example here is adamant arrows (and possibly death runes) and the reason for the rise is because of the clan war update so everyone is buying supplies (now if you were smart you would have stocked up on these player-killing items probably at the start of the month when jagex announced the update was coming!) Remember the grand exchange database is there for you to use. And a tip for using the g/e itself is when selling items put them a few gp lower than max price (or market price if you work that way) so yours sell quicker than others; and for buying always offer a little more than min price to get them
