Also, if you cast superheat on iron with coal in your inventory it will make a steel bar not iron (only if you have 30+ smithing).
I know the steel part and know that you can do it with anything that uses coal.... Never thought of iron, oh wait I remember why it's quite a waste even if you mine the ore.

Bars are worth more than ores, so doing the smelting is profitable, but you should stop there. Smithing the bars into something will lose money so unless you really want the extra smithing xp, don't bother.

*Crumble undead if you want to train your hp as well.
*Superheat or telegrab the nats so you gain money and not train hp (if you're pure)
*Fist of Guthix to train health and magic the slow but fun way.
*Curse for people who are poor. Decent xp for cheap spell. Gets boring though. (Btw two curse casts give more xp than a superheat and is cheaper)
*The quickest but least profitable and most expensive way is falador teleporting.

Curse targets:
Zammy monk (fast curses but boring)
Multi-combat areas where people train (you can help out by cursing and you have company so you don't get bored, though it's not as fast as zammy monk)
Clan wars (fun but slow and people will hate you, so not recommended)

Once you hit 55 it's high alch. Steel platebodys will do you good, if you managed to gather all the materials and make them without superheat, which is really slow but profitable.
If you wanna high alch but don't wanna make money, (and don't care about getting your money back from the nats) be a garbage incinerator. grab everything from the floor and high alch.
57 will grant you the ability to enchant diamond amulets into power amulets. Doesn't sound like the best xp or the most profitable way, but I just wanted to point it out.

Tips on high alching:

*if you're high alching the same item, turn them into bank notes so you don't have to go back and forth the bank.
*if you just wanna keep on clicking at the bank notes and and the high alch button without moving your cursor, put the item in the inventory spot that is right next to the high alch button if you change from the inventory to the spellbook. (oh god I'm bad at explaining I hope someone can understand this lol) Then you just click and click without havin to move the mouse.
*if you don't wanna chat because you wanna train really fast but at the same time don't wanna be mistaken for an autoer, turn off your private chat and go to an isolated area to high alch.

Places to high alch on bank notes without distraction:

varrock palace somewhere isolated
lumby castle somewhere isolated
fally castle somewhere isolated
varrock south sheep field
lumby/draynor cow field and wheat fields
rimmington
karamja boat
port sarim 3rd floor of jail.
draynor dungeon anvil
draynor manor somewhere hidden
etc etc

places to train crumble undead.

varrock sewers zombies (other side of the water)
varrock sewers skellies (other side of the water)
draynor dungeon (need food though)
stronghold of security 4th floor ankous(if you're high lvl and can find a safe spot)
stronghold of security 2nd floor zombies (need food though)

probably the dumbest way to lvl mage is to buy literally thousands of mind runes and an air staff. wear the best ranged armor you have, and antidragonfire sheild and a full pack of lobsters. put auto spell on air strike and attack the air wizard in port sarim. he will not be damaged because it is his element, but you will gain a bit of mage xp because mage spells are not like ranged and melee attacks where you gain experience by damage. his attacks are weak tho, because he is the weakest wizard in the whole group, so you won't be absorbing too much damage and last forever lol.

Lol, I'm writing so much.
