Its to do with a phenomena known as 'junk trading'. This was initially used to beat the price restrictions, usually on items that were harder to get hold of. An example of this being how I bought my saradomin sword a while a go, no one sold on g/e as the price there seemed too low, so players bought in trade. For me, I paid 3m more than its market value and to compensate the difference, the seller offered 10k flax, a bunch of flowers and some feathers (these were the 'junk' items equating to 3m) on top of the sara sword, and I had to buy them (or he would sell to someone else who would take the junk).

The new purpose of junk trading is to quickly cover the cost of the rent, any item that is put on g/e at min price and doest sell within a week (or so) can probably be classed as junk. Imagine I want to rent my sword, I would ask the person to buy my junk to pay the rent, so I could offer 100k worth of junk that he buys and then I lend the weapon. He uses the sword and next time he does something similar and passes the junk on and on, eventually someone will drop/general store the junk, but by then new junk arrives on the market.

He's trying to make a big fuss.
Weapons and armor can be very costly. Players can also bring a certain amount of runes or arrows so if they use the best kind, its a fair bit of money. I see no flaw in calebs logic.

Yeah, Caleb is right.

Say they were selling 100m, they would take a god sword in there.
10m they could take a dragon chain.

If you control a BH server and do it right, you can easily trade...

Extremely risky? Indeed.

RWTing is not dead, but think of this find the RWTer and kill him in BH you got some cash ;)

Just a thought, it's always fun to look out for what RWters do, because just thinking it through you can make good cash taking advantage of those doing it. Back then with autoers at the Yews, they drop gems and such sometimes diamonds you can pick those up. And autos that auto mage somewhere they die from randoms and stuff, it's fun to find tidbits to take advantage of.

Anyways back to it, BH is the new way to RWT. And it isn't that safe if you have people always going for anyone with a bull+ skull. My thoughts are it's a bit too risky to do, but it might not be as risky in f2p. Anyone know why Trimmed and god armours going up plox ;)

Pretty unlikely for them to have so many bodyguards. And there's always that way that I've seen so much of in vids, kill someone then when they are redbarred get out of BH , come back then loot.

If they are buying/selling by hundreds, but do any of you know of anyone that is desperate, and rich enough to buy something worth thousands of dollars for a game? If they were smart they'd do it small increments at a time. 1-20m not thousands of dollars worth, which if you check in some gold selling sites would be 400m for a thousand dollars worth of gold. Who would bring that much? It would be to conspicuos and having so many bodyguards are also conspicouos. (too lazy to look up real spelling of conspicuos.
