Post Runescape Addiction? A Must Read!

Hi, most of you know me as Zach. I've searched all over the internet for "Runescape Addiction". I've found plenty of blogs, forums, pages, ETC of this. In my Opinion I don't think it's a bad game, because it's not. People say that they lose friends, family, and children over it. I think that right there, is a common mistake. "Runescape is killing my son", one Woman said. It's not killing him, hes a addicted to it, maybe the best thing to do is put a password in the computer, then he won't be able to access the computer without knowing it. These are some of the things I think should be done to people who exaggerate Runescape's "danger".

- There is no real danger in Runescape, if you think it's dangerous to anyone in your family, or a friend, get them to stop by being with them. Tell them about something better they can do with the life they "Waste". No one wastes time! Skills, fun, people, friends, ETC!! I could name more if you'd like.

- For those of you who think that selling accounts on Runescape is wrong, your right. However, if you know someone who just plays for that, they can get addicted to illegal complication in Runescape. It's against the rules.

- If you think someone is addicted, love them, teach them the life without it. Be a good friend (and or family member). Runescape teaches Economics, Theology, Mythology, and Dreams. Ever think one day your Friend, or Family member wants to be an Economist? I'd highly doubt that, but you never do know.

- And last, but not least, the Fun. Runescape is fun, full of surprises, good people, well most of them are, and Teaches. It's important to be able to have something to do on Runescape, but not to play all the time. This forum is called Runescape Addicts, although the majority of the people who play it, aren't addicted to Runescape. Just remember, believe that dreams can come true, and that this game isn't addiction because of Jagex, or the game itself, but Choice.

Your fellow friend,

Zach

I suppose it is a blog, my Runescape Life. What I think has passed on over the years. I never thought anyone would read this either. I was hopeful though. Thanks for letting me know what you thought. I just get tired of the way people think that Runescape is "Dangerous".

Thanks,

Zach

I agree in some ways. Runescape is dangerous and addicting if you want to make it like that. Before you get addicted to it, you stop doing it.

If someone went and used Cocaine and then complained about being addicted to it, I would, as well as many other members of the society, consider it as the person's fault.

If you are a child and your parents complain over you being addicted to it, why not just set a password for it? Or better yet, just desemble the whole computer itself.

You make a valid point, I was addicted to Runescape at one stage of my life, and that was my own dam fault!

Well, I just get mad at people who blame RuneScape, or Jagex for their mistake. I don't think it's addicting all the time, it's fun, but you should do other things then just play RuneScape 24\7. It's not important in life.

Well said dude...I have phrases on RS where I get addicted to it then I get bored of it. Sometimes I cant wait to get home from school and get on RS but then somedays I cba to go on RS. I think that this is the deal for a lot of 'Addicted' RS players.

Anything can become an addiction.

We, as humans, have no right to dictate what vices people choose to let consume them.

Logging into Runescape is the same thing as takin' a big old heat of crack.

Everything is addictive. Everything.

Addiction is just the brain's psychological desire for more of a certain stimulation.

it can happen with anything. people get addicted to video games, food, sweets, caffine, even things like running to the point of exhaustion (for those of you who don't do cross country, we call it a 'runner's high')

everything is different levels of addiction, of course, and some things take longer to get hooked on then others.

and that's where the intelligent decisions must be made

the problem? The some people can't make those decisions without handholding. And those are the people who mess up.
