Runite Ore

Runite ore is the rarest and highest level ore that you can mine in the game. It sells for a hefty 11k-12k per ore. You need 85 mining to mine this type of ore and a lvl 85 amithing along with a required 8 coal to smelt the ore into a bar of rune. Non-members are only able to mine two rune rocks in the entire game. Those 2 rune rocks are located in the lava maze in level 46 wilderness. Many Player Killers flock to this area and pounce on those mining rune ores. A person that drops an inventory of rune ore can give 100s of thousands to the PKer. In nonmember worlds, it is very rare for a rock to even be avaiable. Because of the 20-30 minute respawn time of runite ore, people world hop, trying to get the most ore fastest. This causes there to be virtually no ore in any worlds.

Members have more oppurtunities. 2 runite rocks are found in the hero's guild basement. The Fremennik Isles boast 1 rune rock in the center. Because of the requirements to access these areas, they tend to be less crowded and have a good chance that the ore is present.

One rune ore is located under West Ardougne and another in level 50 wilderness, in members worlds. Those are very dangerous places as many monsters lurk around the area, so fewer people choose to mine in those areas.

To be a serious rune ore miner and make money, you must be a member. You can make well over 300 000 per inventory of rune ore, so becoming a rune mining member is very profitable.
