[edit] Uses

Rune trimmed armor provides the exact same stats as regular rune armor.

It serves to protect the user from damaging attacks. It is valued for its prestigious look, and for that reason it is worth a great amount more than regular rune.

Instead of the normal, brown colored trim on regular rune armor, Rune trimmed has a shade lighter than Rune itself, in other words, a light sky blue color.

Rune gilded has a golden trimming as opposed to the sky blue.

[edit] Obtaining Trimmed Armor

One of the most infamous scams in Runescape is the "Trimming Armor" scam.

A player would offer to "trim" armor for others for free, only to take their armor and keep it.

According to Runescape.com: "...no one can trim armour. Armour that is trimmed has been found in-game as trimmed armour. There is no way a player can trim e.g. Asking for Rune armour to make it trimmed."

Rune Trimmed can be obtained from players all over Runescape, and can be dropped by a monster while completing a level three clue scroll for Treasure Trails, a P2P minigame
