THE MAP:
The Quest:
To begin the quest, start out by talking to the duke of Lumbridge (POINT A ON MAP), he should be on the 2nd floor of the castle.
Once inside, start talking to him about runes (or the rune essence mine). After that little conversation, he should give you an air talisman.
Take the air talisman to Wizard’s Tower (THE RED PATH ON THE MAP), talk to him (he is found on the lowest level of wizard’s tower). Give him the talisman. He will then tell you to bring something to adbury (rune shop in fallydor), so follow the YELLOW trail to the shop.
Once at the shop talk to audbury, give him the item you recived from Seredidor (the wizard). Audbury gives you something to give to seredidor, so head back to wizard’s tower (GREEN PATH).
Go to the lower floor, and talk to seredidor. You give him the item audbury gave you.
He thanks you so much! He then decides to teach you how to get to the rune essence mine, for all the work you did for him!

to make this quest easier, you should have the runes and magic for varrock telport, and an amulet of glory.
