Signatures is a way of signing your name on a wiki page so that everyone will know the last time you edited and who edited it, this can be important if you are in need of the information that was last there and if they did something wrong.

Signature markup is a way of describing what is typed in order to show something like this:

The items used to make a signature are called "tildes" which is " ~ " it is not often used by many people but in wiki you will need it in order to make a signature and leave you mark on a page like a dog leaves its mark on a pole, tree and your leg, but enough of the dog tales.
[edit] How many "tildes" do i need?
How many you need is determined by what you are trying to accomplish.
- ~~~ for just your name (~ x 3)
- ~~~~~ for just a date and time(~ x 5)
- ~~~~~~~~ for name, date and time(~ x 8)
*only put down the signature at the end of a page
