Crystal Bow

The Crystal Bow is the bow that offers the highest range bonus in the game. It offers a tremendous +100 range bonus, when it is fully charged. The requirements to wield this bow are having 50 agility, 70 range, and having completed the Roving Elves Quest. It fires at an above average speed which is very useful especially because of its great power. You can receive a free bow upon completion of the Roving Elves Quest. The bow is known for not needing arrows to fire. It fires magic, green shots.
The problem with the bow is its degrading properties. After 2500 shots with the bow, it degrades back to a crystal seed. Also, every 250 shots, it loses a +4 range stat boost. It is like the Barrows weapons in that it needs to be maintained, but worse in that it loses stats at intervals.

Once the bow turns back to a crystal seed, you can get a roving elf to re-enchant it for a fee. Here is a chart for the costs:
1st Re-enchantment: 900k
2nd Re-enchantment: 720k
3rd Re-enchantment: 540k
4th Re-enchantment: 360k
5th Re-enchantment: 180k
Including your initial purchase, getting to level 5 re-enchantment costs 3.42 million. After that investment, you can re-enchant it for only 180k. If you are a serious ranger, you probably would want to go for that investment.
The bow degrade can be manipulated so that your bow is always at 10/10 power. This requires you to have two bows. Since the degradation is not linked to the bow, but to the player, you can switch bows just before the degrade will occur and accumulate all the degrades in a single bow. In this way, one bow is always at full, so you can train more efficiently with a +100 range bonus.
