Hello members,

Today, Jagex Released some new items, to assist and help clans, forums or communities who wish to play games. As well as this, they made a few modifications to PVP. Both of these updates have caused a lot on controversy in both F2P and P2P world servers, and in each case, Riots through the worlds.

PvP Updates

Items are no longer safe on PvP worlds. As this new introduction Players are automatically skulled upon entering a PvP world and remain it as long as they stay there (with no removal of the skull)

However, this has not caused outrage, in fact – Mainly in members servers – the newer part has. In order to get a good drop, you used to have to kill another player with 25,000 gold pieces or more on them (Items or cash) in both F2P and P2P. Even though this still remains the same with F2P: the P2P limitations have been raised. You must now kill someone with 75,000+ stuff in order to receive a better drop potential. And, with the skull update, P2P are not happy to risk their stuff to stand a chance of killing another player with that many GP in items on them.

Clan Items

Well, When i say clan – i mean mainly clan members will use them. However, some of them seem silly and impractical as well as not appearing to function (Tested).

The diversity of the items is clear. There are several items to help with races including markers, boots to fairly start a race and a starting horn. Its very rare to have races in Runescape, however they can also be used to start scavenger hunts, and hide and seeks.
The purpose of most of these items was to communicate with your clan. However after several minutes of trying myself with friends and fellow forum members, we could not get any of the shout-outs in the clan chat to appear to one another. In F2P These have caused little riots that haven’t really gone anywhere. A few JaGeX Mods have been sarcastic on the forums, posting things like:

*uses clicker to count ranting,crying, PvP-ers*
I don’t think it goes that high.

JaGeX Security keys

Apologies for not posting about this yet, i have in fact been watching the Runescape Forums as many heated debates over this matter rage on. These resulted in Andrew Gower (Head of JaGeX) having to post to clear some things up. Here is the original thread.

This idea is either going to be scrapped, or sold with bank space. There really isn’t much to write at the moment. Lets just watch the battle rage on.
