Introduction:
An off- duty pirate is roaming the docks in Port Sarim. Apparently, he has an old treasure map he’s willing to give away…but he isn’t going give it away without something in return…

Difficulty Rating: Easy

Length: Short- Medium

Location: The most northern dock in Port Sarim, Right below the pub.

Materials:

• 60 coins (30 with ring of Charos *members*)
• Spade (Can be obtained During Quest)
• White apron (Can be obtained During Quest).

Requirements: Ability to deal with a level 4 gardener

Reward: 2 quest points, treasure chest containing 450 coins, gold ring, and an emerald.

The Guide:

1. Start the quest by talking to Redbeard Frank in the Port Sarim Docks. He will tell you that if you get him a Karamja Rum, he will tell you the secret location of One-Eyed Hector’s Treasure Chest.

2. Begin by walking a bit south on the docks until you find Captain Tobias, Seaman Thresnor, and Seaman Lorris. Talk to either one of them, and agree that they take you to Karamja for 30 coins.(Free with Ring of Charos/Karamja gloves 1, 2, or 3 reduce the price to 15 coins. Note, these are member options.)

3. Now that you are on Karamja, go west to the bar and buy Karamja Rum for 30 coins. DO NOT LEAVE THE ISLAND (Or try to teleport)! If you try to go back on the boat, the officer will take your rum away, since it is illegal to transport alcoholic beverages in Asgarnia. If you try to teleport, the rum will "break.”

4. Now, go to the banana plantation, and talk to Luthas. Ask him everything, until he asks you to work for him. Agree, and go to the fields full of banana trees. Pick TEN banana’s, and walk to the crates outside Luthas’s house that have the "fill" opinion. Put in your bottle of Karamja Rum in the crate, and then use the "fill" opinion to put the bananas on top of it, in the same crate.

5. Go back to Luthas, and he will award you with 30gp. If you ask him where the crates are shipped to, he will tell you that they go to Wydin, who is in Port Sarim. With the 30 coins you got from Luthas, go back to Port Sarim (same way you got in), and go south until you find the food store.

6. Now put on your white apron, (If you don’t have one, there’s one inside the fish store right above Wydin’s place), and you will try to go inside the room to the west, but Wydin will stop you. Offer to work there, and if you are wearing the white apron, he will let you come in. Look for the Crate with the banana on top, and you will get the Rum.

The Treasure:

7. Go back to Redbeard Frank, and give him the Rum. He will award you with a key to a chest in the Varrock Inn. Head to the Varrock Blue Moon Inn (east of the sword shop, south of the general store), and head up stairs. Go through the rooms until you find a chest. Use the key on it to get a "Pirates Message.”

8. Now, get a spade and go to Falador. (you can find a spade in the real estate agents house, which is east from the Furnace.) Once there, go to the park, and find the Saradomin Statue in the west side of the park. You will notice, that the the ground is set up to resemble an "X", but you can’t see it unless you tint the screen sideways.

Ending the quest:

9. Now dig around the middle of the "X" until an angry level 4 farmer appears. Kill it, or run away, and then come back, and dig once more at that same exact spot.

10. You have completed the quest. Now you will receive the treasure chest, simply open it, and you will find 450gp, gold ring, and an emerald.
