Cook’s Assistant
Introduction:
The Duke of Lumbridge is having a birthday today. The cook is supposed to bake him a
cake. Unfortunately, the cook forgot to get the ingredients for the cake. He needs an egg,
a pot of flour, and a bucket of water.
Materials:
- One Pot – available for purchase at the Lumbridge General Store just north of the castle, for 1 coin.
- One Bucket – also available for purchase at the Lumbridge General Store for 1 coin
Requirements:
None. You do not need any skills or quest points for this quest. You do not have to
attack anything.
Procedures:
To start, talk to the Cook in the Lumbridge Castle Kitchen. His location is highlighted here in red.
He is upset and tells you that he needs to bake a cake for the Duke of Lumbridge.
He needs an egg, a pot of flour, and a bucket of water. First, with your Pot, follow the
road outside of Lumbridge Castle north, then around a bend to the east. Soon you
should arrive at a field of wheat.
Open the gate, and click on any wheat plant to pick it. Now leave the wheat field
and follow the path here in green to a windmill
Go inside, and climb up two ladders. Use the wheat with the hopper, the click the
hopper controls.
Now climb down both ladders, and click on the Flour Bin. If you have the Pot, you
will now have a Pot of Flour. Now follow the path here in green. You will arrive at a farm
with some chickens around it.
Under an alcove at that farm you will find an egg. Pick it up.
Now go just back out to the path east of you, and follow it south for a little bit, about 10 seconds walking. You should be at a gate closing off a field of cows. Just north of the gate, inside the field, are two Dairy Cows. Their location is marked here in red.
With your Empty Bucket in your inventory, click on a Dairy Cow. The option should
be "Milk Dairy Cow." Your empty bucket will fill with milk. Now go back to the castle, and talk to the cook. Tell him you have all the ingredients. They will disappear from your inventory, and you have completed the quest.
Congratulations, Quest Complete!
Rewards:
>1 Quest Point
>300 Cooking XP
>The ability to use the cook’s stove, which burns food less often.
