Mining Locations
Are you Getting Frustrated at having all your ore STOLEN by level 75’s? Here is the best guide of where to mine peacefully. (NOT a levelling guide)

Its seems that my woodcutting locations mini-guide was well met with loads of you looking at it! So, I’ve decided to make a mining locations and this one will be better, and more in depth than the woodcutting one (thank you to all those who commented on it.)
Copper and Tin
Copper and tin are very abundant, however there are normally many people trying to mine them. The most recommendable location for F2p is either the Rimmington Village mine. This is not recommended if you plan on banking the ores, but here you can go to the general store and sell them for a few Gold Pieces each. Or else, drop it. A banking alternative is mining in the mines south-east of Varrock, which is not normally that quiet due to the closeness of a bank – but normally the people there are after the iron.
Members
Port Khazard has 3 of both tin and copper, and is rather close to the Yanille bank, so this could be recommended.
Iron
The safest place to mine iron is back in South-east Varrock. However, Al Kharid Mines also have a good supply of iron ore, but is normally crowded – also the scorpion makes it unwise for lower levels. For higher levels, the quietest place is easily the Hobgoblin mines in level 15-20 wilderness. Its has 27 iron ores and a lot of Hobgoblins!
Members
Port Khazard is one again, a good option due to its closeness to the bank.
Silver
Silver is far, but few. The Al Kharid mines tend to be empty with them, but some world have many people battling for them. The crafting guild (for high level crafters) is normally a good bet, as many people go there to mine the gold.
Silver is also available in the Edgeville dungeon.
Coal
Coal is needed very much in smithing. As a result there are normally large reserves of coal hanging around. The most peaceful of which (amazingly) is the Mining guild. Also the Advanced Lumbridge mines can be good, close to Draynor bank. There are plenty of coal rocks in the Edgeville dungeon 
also.
The hobgoblin mine is another good place for Coal. But hobgoblins roam Free.There are 32 Coal rocks at the hobgoblin mine.
Crandor Mines are a good spot to mine coal if you do not plan on banking it, as it is far from any bank.
Members
The coal trucks are of good use here. Also the heroes guild basement has a few rocks there.
Gold
Gold is a good thing to mine for money because (like coal) its needed for a lot of high level crafting. Gold is probably best mined either in the crafting guild or in the Dwarven mines. Also, the Crandor isles have a lot of gold stones, but i don’t recommend it if you want to keep the ore.
Members
Members are probably best mining in the Grand Tree.
Mithril
Mithril rocks in F2p are normally pretty crowded, however in the mining guild you stand a good chance of getting some. Also if you exit the guild, there are 2 more rocks.
The advanced Lumbridge mine has several mithril rocks and is close to a bank (located in Draynor) this tends to have a few people hanging around as well. However it tends to be quieter, If you are daring, the hobgoblin mine also has 19 Mithril ores
A less adventurous vote is the Edgeville mines, but it doesn’t have many mithril rocks.
Adamant
In F2p adamant is hardly mined or touched in the Dwarven mines, or in the advanced Lumbridge Lamp mine. Al-Kharid has 2 rocks also, with the bank near by. There is also Adamant in the Hobgoblin mines.
Also, the Edgeville mine has 2 adamant rocks.
Members
Members best bet is in the Grand Tree, as well as the Heroes basement – these are all rather close to banks, so running is not that necessary
Runite
The only F2P place is in the deep wilderness, where there are 2 rocks… So:

There are many places to mine Runite, none however will be empty as so many people want it badly. The heroes guild basement is normally a good bet. OR the Fremennik Isles rune mine.
I hope that this guide will – in the long run – make you level fast due to the fact there are less people to steal your ores. Please remember this is not a skilling guide, only a list of the quietest places for each rock to mine. Please leave a comment or more places to mine if you see fit.

theres a rune mining place for f2p, and there are only 2 rocks
yeah… it’s also in the wilderness… but i guessed it typed it wrongly… lmao… anyway… adamant can also be found on crandor’s island…. and here’s a good tip.. once you have the lumbridge ring (level 3) u can use cabbage teleport to teleport to the cabaged patch and bank in draynor bank… but not suggested for lower levels because you will have to past lot-sa lesser demon’s and some moss giant…
opps and also some addamant ore can be found in al kharid mining site… but only 1 i think not sure…

Don’t you mean the only non-mem or f2p mining is in wildy since there is mem rune mining in quite a few places?

on the subject of mining locations…while i was a non-member, i was a sper miner. eventually i went looking for runite ores and while looking on the world map i found a mining symbol in deep deep wildy. turns out it was the only runite ore i could find, but its in level 52 wilderness. i did manage to get to it without being attacked but i would recommend a mix of melee armour and mage amour. that will give u a good melee defence and mage defence. and always recharge prayer before going.
for the members, there are 2 runite rocks in the heros guild basment. i have seen them and mined them and its definatly runite ore. these are way back in the basment of the heros guild. these are the only rocks that i know of. there are rarely people in the heros guild as people just buy the ore. but the chances are your better off mining the 2 rocks then hopping worlds and then mine the 2 rocks there and so on and so forth.
adamant ore is normally hard to find but there are loads of rocks in the wilderness. not too deep in either. its in about 32-33 wilderness and there are alot of hob goblins so i would go in with mage and melee armour and good defence. eventually if you kill enough they will stop.
there is also ONE rock in the al-kharid mine.
for mithril, the same spot in the wilderness, again there are loads of rocks and loads of hob goblins. there are also two rocks in the al-kharid mine and there are 5 rocks in the dwarven mine (although these are normally heavily populated) so if your a risk taker go to the wilderness if your not, try mining by going to different worlds or mine coal until you get enough to mine adamant or rune if you really wont. coal sells alot more because you need them for most of the bars and the higher the bar, the more coal needed so there is a high demand of coal.

iv changed my mined…i died and lost full dragon the other day in thw wildy
now i mine mithril in the south west of lumbridge swamp…also a bit of coal for you…
addy-2 rocks in al karid mining site.
3 rocks in dwarven mines.
cookie: ure bad at locations. runite isnt on lvl 52, its either 46 or 47. (lol still deep)
wildy mining is bad (except for runite ores). Hobgoblins will always attack u no mattter what lvl u are and wills stop u from mining ores.
dude idc where u guys think there is locations of the mining spots srry but really??
good spots, my mining is 70 and i need addy spots.by the way sorry you lost full dragon i lost full barrows in clan wars portal where u lose stuff if u die.
