Getting to the Great Orb Project & Money Guide

Hey all.
Well I guess I should show the way that I got myself to 50 Runecrafting.
If you don’t know this, 50 Runecrafting is enough to enter the Runecrafting Guild and The Great Orb Project, which is a very nice way to make money.
Anyways, let’s start.

Requirements to Runecraft:

  • Finished Rune Mysteries Quest,
  • Rune or Pure Essence
  • tiara/talisman of the element you will Runecraft.

If you have not started the Rune Mysteries Quest, you may start it here by talking to Duke Horacio on the second level of the Lumbridge Castle.

Also, if you choose to mine your Rune Essence, you may be teleported to the Rune Essence mine by the following 2 people:
Wizard Sedridor, in the basement of the Wizard’s Tower

Aubury, the owner of the Runes Store in Varrock.

CONTENTS
1. Starting your journey
2. Level 20-30 Runecrafting
3. Level 30-50 Runecrafting
4. The Great Orb Project

PLEASE NOTE-This takes some hard work.
Also note that I am making this guide for F2P only

Part one:
If you are at least level 20 Runecrafting, skip this part and go to part two.
From level 1 Runecrafting:
Well, let’s start out by Runecrafting Air Runes.
Get your air talisman/tiara and Rune Essence (not noted), then head to the air altar. If you use a talisman, use the talisman on the “Mysterious Ruins” to enter the Air Altar.
AIR RUNES
The Air Altar is located just past Falador’s South entrance.

Note that it is a close distance from a bank. If you mined or bought your Rune Essence, you will have to take trips from bank, to altar.
Continue crafting Air Runes, until you get to Level 5 Runecrafting.
Once you have level 5 Runecrafting, you can craft water runes.

WATER RUNES – PART1
Let’s craft water runes now. You will need your water talisman/tiara and Rune Essence.
The water altar is located in the Lumbridge Swamp.

The closest bank to there is the Draynor Bank, you may use that bank to take trips from bank, to altar.
Continue crafting Water Runes until you reach level 9 Runecrafting.
EARTH RUNES-PART 1
Congratulations! You can now craft Earth Runes! These are about the best runes you can craft, because of the Runecrafting gloves.
PART 2
Let’s craft earth runes now. You will need your earth talisman/tiara and Rune Essence.
The Earth Altar is located here:

A bank is a short distance from there, and you may also mine rune essence from Aubury and proceed to crafting Earth Runes straight from there, with no need to bank.
Continue crafting Earth Runes until you have reach level 20 Runecrafting, in which, we will proceed to our next part.

PART 3
WATER RUNES – PART 2
Congratulations! You can now use Water Runecrafting Gloves
These are a great help in Runecrafting, because they give you 2 times the experience for Runecrafting Water Runes! These gloves may be bought as a reward at the mini-game, Fist of Guthix
Go back to Runecrafting Water Runes now.
The water altar is located in the Lumbridge Swamp.

The closest bank to there is the Draynor Bank, you may use that bank to take trips from bank, to altar.
Continue this until you have reached level 30 Runecrafting.

EARTH RUNES-PART 2
This is your last altar. You are almost there.
Now, we need to get our Earth Runecrafting Gloves from Fist of Guthix.
Once you have them, proceed to crafting Earth Runes again.
The Earth Altar is located here:

A bank is a short distance from there, and you may also mine rune essence from Aubury and proceed to crafting Earth Runes straight from there, with no need to bank.
Please note that you will have to keep getting Earth Runecrafting gloves, as 1 pair is not enough. You will need around 7 pairs, which only proves my point this is not easy work.
When you finally have reached level 50 Runecrafting, you are now ready to start making money!

PART 4-THE GREAT ORB PROJECT
Congratulations! You are now ready to start making money!
Recommendations:

  • FREE inventory space for your wands and rune essence.
  • Nothing on your head, or weapon slot, as you must wield wands and your team colour’s hat. You will not be able to play if you do not.

To enter the Runecrafting Guild, go to the Wizard’s Tower’s second floor, and enter the purple portal. I recommend you use World 61, as it is a hot spot for The Great Orb Project.

As you enter, you’ll see lots of things there. This mini-game is safe, so you do not have to worry about your level.
To play, you must first join a team. You may join Wizard Acantha’s, or Wizard Vief’s team. Once you have joined a team, wait for the portal to open, and enter it. You will appear in the Air Altar first. The key to this game is to attract your team colour’s orbs to the altar. The more orbs, the more chance you have of winning. Once orbs appear you will have a time limit to get as much orbs as you can. Remember you can also play defence here, repel your opponent’s orbs or create barriers so they may not pass. Once the time limit is finished you will have at least 3 seconds to craft runes with the essence you will be given before you must enter the portal that appears to the next altar.

There are 6 rounds, so prepare for a long fight. If a draw is called, no team will get the altar.
This game is all about teamwork, so try to not always get an orb your teammate is already attracting. This may slow it down. When the game ends, you will receive an amount of tokens.

NOW DO NOT SPEND IT ON ARMOR. If you wish to make money, spend it on water talismans, which are around 3k each in the Grand Exchange. Buy water talismans with all of your tokens, and then bank them. The closest bank is Draynor – When you have 100, you have made 300k.

Congratulations. You can now make easy money.
Please post or PM if you need this updated, or need tips.
