Woodcutting Locations?
Are you sick of having your wood stolen by high level people? Here’s the best guide for where to go (not a guide on how to level)
Oak and Wood
Where can you go? Well, wood is abundant
Go anywhere and cut. there is almost guaranteed good by ANY bank in Runescape. As for Oaks, i believe this is the same case with normal wood, but to the west of Varrock just outside the city is a good place!
Willows
When you get to willows, if your keen on keeping them, cut in Draynor If you want to sell then,
cut in Lumbridge. And if you want the Exp, cut and drop at the back of Rimmington.![]()
Yews
Obviously most people want to cut these quick, but i recommend cutting willows in Draynor till 75(ish) And then either cutting in Edgeville, where a bank is on hand. Or the 3 at the bottom of Falador, where its a mini-trek for the bank.
Also, North of Varrock palace by the 3 yews. Not far away is the Grand Exchange with bank – But its normally got 4-6 medium-high levels.
Members: South of Camalot, there are the beehives. There are 5 yews trees. Going on a PvP world can be recomended if you a low enough level. also, the 4 (?) yews in the seer’s village church yard, and 11 in the overall proximity.
Magic’s
Unfortunately, I’m not a member, but ill estimate cutting yews until 85, and then diving in at the deep end, and just cutting them anywhere you can.
Cutting yews and Magics in the Grand tree is recomended. As it is quiet and there are 2 banks close by!

o.o I am amused.
I would also recommend chopping yews near that varrock castle especially since it is right next to the grand exchange/ bank! and you should also choose about the 20th world with fewest people, because i see more people chopping yews in the world with the lowest number of people, as sum people believe the world with the lowest ppl mean fewer choppers! Im now lvl 73 woodcuttin, started woodcuttin 2 months ago.
Thanks, for that… have you got any leveling guides?
Sweet!~
is the mini trek at the bottom of falador for members only?
- Adam, check the forums, there are plenty of leveling guides there
- Tony, the trek in Falador to the bank is accessible for f2p
for members problaply best place to cut yew and magic is the Grand tree (one of the two gnome villages). There is two spots with 3 or 4 yews and a magic tree, and bank is straight next to them!
for yews normally the best place would be just south of the honey combs which are south of camolot castle. if you a low combat level like…20-30 you can go to there on pvp worlds and everyone else is too high to attack you. if you a level like 80+ alot of people can attack you, thats why i recommend either quick chat worlds or worlds with other events
for magic logs people normally go to the sorcerors place (i forget what its called) its south east of the ranging guild. again, pvp worlds are the most quite places but because im only combat 90 people like attacking me alot so i save my run until i get past the grave with the 3 yews in then i put my run on and run for the bank, then i store my magic logs and run back. then turn it off and wait until your full again then the whole process starts all over again.
i still recommend a ring of live uncase you get attacked. for both magic and yew trees
i forgot to add then if your level 100+ and your cutting yew or mage logs i highly recommend, and i cant stress this enough, wear armour if your too high a level in combat. i really cant stress this enough always wear armour if there are people in the bank that can potentionly kill you easily. i was luckily saved today by my ring of life but i would have made it to the bank if i wore armour i really cant stres how import armour is in pvp world while woodcutting. WEAR ARMOUR IF YOUR TOO HIGH
the best place for yews it the place in seers. its a little run to the bank in back but its really worth it, 4 yews in one place. as for magics, the grand tree is the best, there is one tree RIGHT NEXT TO THE BANK. and there are like 4 yews there too. its extremely quiet there.
THANKS FOR THE INFO
if u a mem go to gnome stronghold for yew trees. south east corner. there’s 4 trees thier and normally only 1 person their.
hey guys theres a general store in rimmington so just sell to the g store
