Introduction
Runecrafting is a pretty repetitive skill. Runecrafting can be very rewarding though since it can get runes for money or magic. You need certain levels for certain runes though. But as you level up, you can make better runes, or make more runes from one pure/rune essence!

Raising Runecrafting
Note – This is for getting runecrafting first. Not really for money.

Rune Essence
Firstly, you need rune essence to runecraft with. You can get this by mining it by going to wizard Sedridor (basement of Wizards Tower) or going to Aubury (rune shop of Varrock). Aubury is recommended since he is closer to a bank. Another way is to buy it. Best place to buy is at the Grand Exchange. This is not really recommended unless you want to level runecrafting really quick, if you have a lot of money or if your runecrafting level is 33 or higher. You must craft air runes if you are higher than 33 and save money. Currently, rune essence is 43 gp each on the grand exchange Another alternative is by killing minotaurs, ankous or other monsters that drop rune essence.

Levels 1-33
First, you will need some rune essence or pure essence. Rune essence is easier though and cheaper. Just get it with the above section. I recommend runecrafting the best rune you could make to get to level 33 A.S.A.P so you can buy rune essence and save/make money when crafting air runes.

Level 10-20
If you are good at the Fist of Guthix minigame, you can try and get 75 tokens to buy air runecrafting gloves so you can make double the xp for airs. The gloves let you runecraft 1000 rune essence into air runes before you must get more.

Level 20-30
If you are good at the Fist of Guthix minigame, you can try and get 75 tokens to buy water runecrafting gloves so you can make double the xp for water runes. The gloves let you runecraft 1000 rune essence into water runes before you must get more.

Level 30-99
If you are good at the Fist of Guthix minigame, you can try and get 75 tokens to buy earth runecrafting gloves so you can make double the xp for earth runes. The gloves let you runecraft 1000 rune essence into Earth runes before you must get more. This is the quickest xp for f2p. you could do this all the way. at 78 runecrafting, you can start buying the ess and make profit at the same time. but this is a long way. So use the bottom technique if you don’t have much money or just keep mining rune essence.

Level 33-99
You may buy the rune ess here but must craft craft air runes. If you want to quickly get runecrafting up and have a lot of money, use the above technique.

Level 50-99
Another alternative for rune/pure essence
Go to world 61 (or 60 if you’re p2p) and go to the runecrafting guild. The Runecrafting guild is on the second floor of wizards’ tower through the portal. Learn to play the big orb project and play the big orb project. It doesn’t matter what team you’re on. try and get as much tokens as you can get. Buy rune essence with your tokens each time (1 ess for 1 token). You can buy teleport tablets to make runecrafing faster. While playing the game, craft runes at the altar since it is double xp. If you are p2p, try and get rune pouches and hold your essence until you are at the nature altar and craft them there for most xp and natures. When you think you have enough rune essence, go craft them

Making Money
- Method 1
Firstly, get 33 runecrafting. After, buy your rune essence for extra speed. Buy as much as you can. Then get either an air tailsman, air tailsman staff, or an air tiara. Go and craft your rune essence until you are out of rune essence. When your done, go to the grand exchange and sell all your air runes. You should make a lot profit off this. For every 11 runecrafting levels, you will make more airs therefore, more money. keep doing this until you are rich. get air runecrafting gloves if you want extra xp.

-Method 2
Note- 57 runecrafting required
Make water runes and buy your rune essence. Yu will make enough runes to make up for the rune essence and more money. This method is slow for money and is hard to be able to do but gets more xp.

-Method 3
Note- 78 runecrafting required
Make Earth runes and buy your rune essence. You will make enough runes to make up for the rune essence and more money. This method is slow for money and is hard to be able to do but gets more xp.

Air Running
Assist
Firstly, go to world 16. You can make some xp by saying “assist” and how much air runes you can make per essence. They will request assistance from you. You will get the xp they would normally get. make sure runecrafting is enabled though. a high runecrafting level is recommended for doing this because there are usually a lot of people with high RCing levels which may be higher than yours at the altar so people would ask them for assistance instead of you.

example: if you runecrafting is 44, you will make 5 air runes from one essence. So keep saying “assist X5″

Runners
If you want quick runecrafting, you will need some money. Firstly, go to world 16 and to the air altar. Bring with you NOTED rune essence and a lot of money. try and bring a lot. When at the altar, say “open X” but replace X with how much you are willing to trade for each run. i do 600gp but the higher you go, the quicker runecrafting will be but the more expensive it will be.
If someone wants to trade with you, trade with them, and offer 25 noted rune essence and the amount of money you said before. They will give 25 unnoted essence. accept, and craft the runes. then keep repeating that until you are done runecrafting. Only do this if you have a lot of money or if you will make enough cash from each run to make up for the rune essence.

Runecrafting Guild
Note -You need 50 runecrafting to enter the runecrafting guild.

How To Get There
To get to the runecrafting guild, go to wizards tower and go up the stairs. You should see a portal. Go through and and you’re there. The game the big orb project can be played there. Here is a list of the items able to bought at the shop

Runecrafting Staff (P2P)
The runecrafting staff is the same as a tiara except a weapon and can help distract the eyes in the abyss.

Omni Talisman (P2P)
The omni talisman can be obtained by talking to wizard korvak in the rcing guild with every runecrafting talisman. You may bring tiaras too. Doing this will get you the omni talisman, which lets you in any altar, and 20k runecrafting xp. It can be made into a tiara to runecrafting staff if you take it to wizard korvak. If lost or crafted into a staff/tiara, you can get another from wizard elriss.

Note – The omni talisman staff cannot be taken to the law altar as you cannot bring a weapon to entrana. You may bring a law talisman staff though as it has no attack bonuses.

Merging Talisman with Staff/Tiara
Caution - When you forge a talisman into a staff/tiara, you cannot use the locate option to find the altar again unless you get another talisman. So remember where the altar is.

Step 1
Get a runecrafting staff or a normal silver tiara.
Runecrafting staves can be bought at the runecrafting guild (50 rcing needed) for 10k tokens. Tiaras can be made at 20 crafting or can easily be bought at the grand exchange.

Step 2
Get the talisman of the type you want to make and take it to the altar it leads you to. Use the talisman, runecrafting staff or the tiara on the thing you use to runecraft. If you use the talisman on it, it asks what you want to make. if you want a talisman staff and have a runecrafting staff, the choose staff. If you want a runecrafting tiara and have a tiara, choose tiara.

You will lose the talisman but the new tiara/staff will let you enter the altar and is wield able at the same time. This is helpful since it saves one spot for rune/pure essence and you dont have to use the talisman on the ruins to enter the altar as you can just enter the altar.

Tips
- if you get 91 runecrafting and are a member, you can make some real money or xp because that is when you craft 2 natures for one essence and nats are worth a lot of money and you can give request at the nature altar.
- if you want the runecrafting skillscape, get 99 runecrafting and go to aubury in varrock. talk to him (remember to bring 99k) and talk about the skillscape. keep talking and you will buy it.
- wearing light clothing is recommended while runecrafting
- always wear the explorer ring while runecrafting since it gives you extra runes and xp. Only level 2 and 3 of the explorers ring will work
- there are a couple of rune running worlds.
